FORO Studio participates in the reTH!INKING competition to create an on-site installation enhancing the incredible scenery of Salar de Uyuni, Bolivia. The result is a hermitage-like place, where you can escape from modern daily life. A dream place, halfway between architecture and art.

The Catedral De Las Nubes is an enigmatic, dreamy, but playful place. The project highlights the uniqueness of the Salar through a series of mirrored spheres that enhance the landscape, the largest salt lake in the world. It puts the visitor in contact with a spectacular environment that offers a unique experience, an occasion to get in touch with one's soul. It is made of wood, to create an interaction with the processes of salt water drought and flooding.

Three different wood frames define three different functions: a sitting area with a circular bench on which to sit and admire the vastness of the Salar, showing the human presence, which is nothing if compared to nature's greatness; an observation bridge eight meters high, to show that, in life, sacrifice is necessary if you want to enjoy a privileged point of view; a swinging area with a series of swings, where you can turn on the child that is inside each of us.

The same immersive atmosphere returns for the project proposed by FORO Studio on the occasion of the competition for the intervention of the Zavial Battery.
