TOMI, a project by FORO Studio for Fuorisalone 2019, is a bridge between Italian and Japanese culture, a mobile space where to eat a packed meal, an area of relaxation and interaction. Food was chosen as an element of meeting and conviviality: the schiscetta and the bento box - one Milanese, the other Japanese - were the inspiration for the creation of a modular and dismountable system.
The project deals with the theme of transportability: the structure is simple, easy to produce, usable indoors and outdoors. It combines Italian and Japanese culture with traditional elements of Milan and Tokyo, compared for the occasion.
