On the occasion of the Milan Design Week 2019, FORO Studio and Alessandro Iovine present Rug-o-Rama, a series of tapestries tribute to the city of Milan. In the heart of 5Vie district the designers tell about multiple identities of the city, taking its beauty and filtering it with a creative eye.
The challenge was to convey the strength of a place in a furnishing product - the tapestry in this case - where the concreteness of the materials meets the abstractness of emotions. The artefact thus has its roots in the territory, but at the same time, it is free to tell many different stories in many different places.
Based on the circular economy, the concept involves the use of recycled materials coming from the local fashion and furniture industries. This to bring them to new life through unique pieces of furniture.
Also during the same edition of the Design Week FORO Studio created the setting up of the Milanese showroom in Maryling.
