TOGA

Milan | April 2023

TOGA is a project using light o enhance recycled materials, proposing them as the main functional and decorative elements.

TOGA is made of pre-consumer waste materials collected from Milan's metropolitan fashion and interior industries. FORO Studio's concept aims to elevate the value of the resulting product by reusing these materials through upcycling.

TOGA comes to life from the gesture of draping and its Latin etymon tegere. As in ancient times, it was common to wrap a drape around the body, so FORO Studio dresses the LED bar, giving it meaning.

The lamp recalls a formal gesture becoming a design philosophy: starting with seemingly anonymous materials, FORO Studio arrived at something new and unique through a planned re-working.
